Duties and Responsibilities:
Value Materials Handling is the leader in the industry for selling high-quality and innovative Materials Handling Equipment.
We are looking for a Forklift Technician with experience to perform the following:
Service maintain and repair Petrol, Gas, Diesel and Electric forklifts
Operational:
- Inspect and Evaluate machines for repair and maintenance.
- Compile technical reports on the scope of repair required also listing what parts are required.
- Identify, repair, and replace faulty components in a breakdown environment, record findings on the job card.
- Maintain accurate records of job cards and time sheets and any other administrative components.
- Service and repair machines to OEM specifications and schedules.
- Perform standby/breakdown after-hour duty.
- Maintain acceptable productivity and efficiency levels.
- Monitor, train, and guide apprentices
- Report unsafe working conditions/equipment to team leaders/workshop foremen.
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to.
- Assist in relevant operations/operational functions as required.
- Maintain professional conduct in the workshop and field service.
- Ensure the dress code is in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain housekeeping standards on a daily basis.
- Ensure standards of Health and Safety are maintained.
- Maintain a professional level of customer service with all VMH customers.
- Have a great attitude and willing to learn and developing new skills
Minimum Requirements:
- Certificate 3 in Mobile plant mechanic or light vehicle and heavy Vehicle
- 2+ years related experience advantageous, Light vehicle and truck mechanics are encouraged also to apply.
- LPG vehicle gas repair and installation licence advantageous
